Progress...

Progress for Black Americans is something they have always had to fight for...

It isn’t something that is inherited or handed down, for each generation is responsible for their own pursuit of it. Progress for Black Americans has been incremental, slow but gradual, and laced with contempt. The plight of Black Americans pursuit of happiness has been a testament to the true belief in the American dream.

The dream that closely resembles Dr. Kings where folks will be judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin. Would he lament over the present and reoccurring deferment of a dream he fought so hard to manifest into reality? How did Black Americans view their progress before his assassination? How did White Americans view their progress after?

How many supporters of his dream are still fighting for it now?
